These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the provision of services by Spruced Services Ltd (“the Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”) to the customer (“you”, “your”). By booking or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Services
1.1 We provide professional cleaning, removals, and home improvement services as agreed at the time of booking.
1.2 The scope of work will be confirmed in writing (by quotation, email, or invoice). Any additional work requested outside the agreed scope may incur additional charges.
2. Quotations & Pricing
2.1 All quotations are provided in good faith and are valid for 7 days unless stated otherwise.
2.2 Prices are based on the information supplied by the customer. If this information is inaccurate or incomplete, we reserve the right to revise the quotation.
2.3 Additional costs may apply where unforeseen circumstances arise, including but not limited to restricted access, health and safety risks, or additional labour or materials.
3. Bookings & Payments
3.1 Bookings are confirmed once accepted by the Company.
3.2 Payment terms will be specified on the invoice or quotation.
3.3 We reserve the right to request a deposit or full payment in advance where appropriate.
3.4 Late payments may result in suspension of services and may incur additional charges.
4. Cancellations
4.1 Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled service time may be eligible for a full refund.
4.2 Cancellations made within 24 hours may be subject to a cancellation fee to cover allocated resources.
4.3 Failure to provide access or failure to attend a scheduled appointment may be treated as a no-show and may not be refundable.
5. Consumer Rights
5.1 We will carry out all services with reasonable care and skill, in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
5.2 Where a service is not carried out to a reasonable standard, you are entitled to request a repeat performance or a price reduction, as required by law.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.
6. Customer Responsibilities
6.1 You must ensure:
- Safe and reasonable access to the property
- Accurate information is provided about the work required
- Any fragile, valuable, or hazardous items are disclosed in advance
6.2 We are not responsible for delays or additional costs arising from incorrect or withheld information.
7. Materials & Goods
7.1 Any materials supplied remain the property of the Company until paid for in full.
7.2 Custom-made or special-order items are non-refundable unless faulty or misdescribed.
8. Liability
8.1 We maintain appropriate insurance cover.
8.2 Our liability is limited to the total value of the service provided, except where liability cannot be excluded or limited by law.
8.3 We shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of business or profit.
9. Health & Safety
9.1 We reserve the right to refuse or suspend work where health and safety risks are identified.
9.2 Customers must ensure the working environment complies with reasonable safety requirements.
10. Complaints
10.1 Any complaints must be reported within 48 hours of service completion.
10.2 We will investigate complaints promptly and aim to resolve them fairly and efficiently.
11. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure results from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, accidents, or government restrictions.
12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
